TICKETS ON SALE - Heathers the Musical: Teen Edition

Welcome to Westerberg High.

Veronica Sawyer is just another nobody, until she's swept into the orbit of the three most ruthless girls in school - all named Heather. She's got the power, the popularity, and the perfect ponytail... until the arrival of the mysterious, dangerously charming J.D. sends things spiralling somewhere much darker.

Heathers: Teen Edition is a razor-sharp, high-energy musical about cliques, cruelty, and the courage it takes to find your own voice in a world obsessed with fitting in. Big vocals, bold performances, and a talented young cast bring this cult classic to Auckland stages for four nights only.

Brought to you by StageAntics - where rangatahi (young people) take the stage, take risks, and find their people.

Duration: Approx. 2 hours 30 minutes, including a 20-minute interval

Content Advisory: Heathers: Teen Edition is a dark comedy that deals with serious themes through satire and stylised performance.

Age Recommended: 14+ Children under the age of 15 must be under the supervision of a responsible adult (18 years of age or older) at all times.

Warning: This performance contains haze effects, loud noises including gunshots, flashing lights and strobe lighting, as well as strong mature themes including bullying, murder, suicide, sexual violence and references to eating disorders.

While presented with theatrical distance, these themes may be confronting for some audience members. Parent/guardian discretion is advised, and we encourage anyone sensitive to these topics to consider this information before booking.

HADESTOWN Teen Edition

HADESTOWN Teen Edition

Welcome to the underworld… where the road is long, the wind is cold, and a song just might change your fate.

Hadestown: Teen Edition is a bold, electrifying folk-opera that intertwines two mythic love stories — young dreamers Orpheus and Eurydice, and the powerful, complicated bond between Hades and Persephone.

Set in a world where industry rules and hope is a radical act, Orpheus journeys to the underworld to rescue Eurydice, armed with nothing but his music and an unshakeable belief that love can light the darkest places.

With haunting melodies, driving rhythms, and a story that feels both ancient and urgently now, Hadestown: Teen Edition is a powerful celebration of resilience, community, and the courage it takes to hold onto hope.

Raw. Riveting. Unforgettable.

Come see why we tell the story again. 🎶✨

BADJELLY THE WITCH

BADJELLY THE WITCH

StageAntics presents BADJELLY THE WITCH

Adapted by Alannah O'Sullivan
From the book by Spike Milligan
Licensed by Playmarket NZ

_________________________________________

When siblings Tim and Rose set off into the forest to find their beloved cow Lucy, they tumble head-first into a world that is wildly ridiculous, slightly alarming, and completely bonkers.

Enter Badjelly — a cackling, boastful witch who claims she can turn children into sausages, boys into chop suey, and entire forests into her personal kingdom of doom.

(She can’t. Probably.)

Along the way, Tim and Rose meet a parade of peculiar creatures — talking worms, melancholy tree spirits, questionable goblins — and discover that courage, kindness, and a dash of imagination are far more powerful than any witch’s wobbly spell.

Full of anarchic humour, absurd storytelling, and heartwarming bravery, Badjelly the Witch is a delightfully chaotic adventure celebrating the glorious power of imagination.

You can expect outrageous characters through a professional Theatre for Young Audiences experience with full StageAntics sparkle including big laughs for little humans (and even bigger ones for grown-ups)

This is storytelling at its silliest and most sincere — a theatrical romp for tamariki, rangatahi, and anyone who still believes a forest might contain something extraordinary.

Come ready to laugh.
Come ready to imagine.
And whatever you do…

Don’t believe everything Badjelly tells you. 🧙‍♀️✨

StageAntics and Kids4Drama are thrilled to work together on this fabulous holiday musical season of not one but two Music Theatre International-Australasia Broadway JR musicals.Join us as over 80 amazing Tamaki performers take to the stage at Westpoint Performing Arts for a limited season

Act One:  The Big One-Oh JR
Charley Maplewood has never been one for parties – that would require friends, which he doesn’t have. Well, unless you count his monster friends, but they’re only imaginary. But now that he’s turning ten—the big one-oh—he decides to throw a birthday party for himself, complete with a “House of Horrors” theme. Of course, things don’t work out as he plans. Will Charley be able to pull it together before the big one-oh . . . becomes the big OH-NO!?

Act Two:  Disney's Newsies JR
Disney's Newsies JR. is a 60-minute version of the 2012 Broadway musical, based on the 1992 film. Inspired by the rousing true story of newsboys in turn-of-the-century New York City, Newsies JR. features a Tony Award-winning score by Alan Menken and Jack Feldman and a book by Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein.

When powerful newspaper publishers raise prices at the newsboys' expense, the charismatic Jack Kelly rallies newsies from across the city to strike against the unfair conditions. Together, the newsies learn that they are stronger united and create a movement to fight for what's right.
